The Southern charm and hospitality in Dunwoody give the suburb a warm and welcoming vibe so that even if you aren't from here, you will feel right at home. The communities here are tight-knit, and neighbors are quick to lend a hand or a cup of sugar when needed.
Since Dunwoody has been a popular suburban area for some time, many single-family homes were built with traditional architectural styles, giving the properties a charming and welcoming vibe. Dunwoody Village is a large shopping mall with many retail stores and services available. Here you’ll find Dunwoody Tavern, a large Irish pub with a warm and cozy atmosphere and a casual setting. Other area shopping centers include Park Place and Town Center at Cobb. Dunwoody's major shopping mall is the Perimeter Mall, where you are sure to find nearly anything you want or need. If you are in the mood for a classy and elegant dinner, try Capital Grille while you are at the mall.
Things to Do
Dunwoody Nature Center offers lots of activities, programs, and walking trails for nature observers. At Brook Run Park, you will find the Treetop Quest, a treetop maze with more than 60 obstacles. There is also a playground, a skate park, a pavilion, and an amphitheater. The Lemonade Days Festival is held annually at Brook Run Park. Admission to the festival is free, but you will need to purchase tickets for the rides. There are numerous small playgrounds and pocket parks across the city as well.
